Canonical Patterns And Glossary Repositories For AI Work

Why reusable practices and terminology live in dedicated organization repositories instead of being rediscovered in every project.

Reusable knowledge needs a home. Without one, each repository invents slightly different practices, terms, and agent habits.

The organization patterns repository is the place for reusable production practices. The glossary repository is the place for durable terminology. Together they give agents a clear research path before they change a workflow, schema convention, content model, prompt pattern, release rule, or recurring practice.

They also create a write-back loop. When work in a game, website, tool, or template produces a reusable practice, the agent should propose an update to the patterns repository. When work introduces or changes terminology, the agent should propose an update to the glossary.

This keeps individual repositories focused on their product while still improving the organization-level system. A game repository does not need to become the canonical source for an AI workflow pattern. It can produce the lesson, then submit it to the right place.

That is the production model: local work creates evidence, reusable learning is proposed centrally, and the next repository starts with better defaults.
